University of Galway team, Oisin Callery, Billy Hamilton Brendan Tobin, Pádraic MacDonnacha, and Pablo Merlo just completed a successful workshop in La Chorrera with AZICATCH — representing the Bora, Muinane, Ocaina and Uitoto peoples. 🌿
Together, we explored participatory mapping techniques to help communities document and protect their ancestral territories. It’s been an inspiring and collaborative experience!
Our team now travels downriver with representatives of the four tribes to COP in Belém, where they’ll present a proposal on participatory mapping and Indigenous territorial governance.
