Participation at LERO’s 25th Anniversary

As part of the celebrations of the 25 Years of LERO – the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software, Dr. Taymi Milán presented the poster “The Impact of Time on Digital Whistleblowing Systems”.

The poster highlighted the complexity of time in whistleblowing processes, showing how delays, organizational dynamics, and technological design shape access, trust, and legitimacy in reporting systems. The project —developed in collaboration with Prof. Kate Kenny— explores the role of temporality in digital whistleblowing, with a particular focus on public procurement, a sector especially vulnerable to corruption and mismanagement.

This work is part of the WhistleTime Project, under the ROSETTA Fellowship Programme, and engages regulators, public agencies, civil society, and software developers in co-creating fairer, more accessible, and effective whistleblowing systems.
