Online Registration for Incoming 2026/2027 1st year Undergraduate and Postgraduate students is now closed.

Semester 2 Module Registration / Change of mind (where course permits same) is open for the following dates.

Undergraduate & Postgraduate Taught ( PGT)

Semester 2 Module Registration / Change of Mind is open from Thursday, 7th to Friday, 29th January 2027.

Postgraduate Research ( PGR)

1st Change of Mind / Module Registration is Open from Tuesday, 1st to Friday, 11th December, 2026
2nd and Final Change of Mind / Module Registration is Open from Tuesday, 2nd to Friday, 19th February, 2027

How to Register Now/Late registration?

The following 3 steps are required for late registration. Once these are in place we can finalise your record for 26/27

COLLEGE PERMISSION: Registrations this late in the academic year require permission to return to studies. Obtain Permission from College / School and forward to registration@universityofgalway.ie
FEES CLEARANCE: Contact the Fees Office at fees@universityofgalway.ie . Once the Fees Office have cleared you to register, email registration@universityofgalway.ie with confirmation of same.
STUDENT AUTHORISATION: In order for us to manually register you, we require your authorisation in writing that you want to register and accept the Universities Terms & Conditions.

I am hereby bound by the Terms & Conditions set out in the attached link and by emailing registration@universityofgalway.ie I confirm my consent.

Once all of the above are in place we can finalise your record for 26/27

How do I add modules to my record after Online Registration closes?

You must get approval from your Course Director with regard to what modules you are allowed to take at this stage.

You can list the modules you want to take and email your Course Director, copying registration@universityofgalway.ie. Once they approve the mail, we can add the modules for you.
