Second-year BComm with German students won Second Prize

Congratulations to Second-year BComm with German students, Saoirse Conlon, Aisling Conroy, Adele McHugh, Liam Dempsey, and Patrick Mannion and their lecturer Dr. Thomas Wilks who won Second Prize in the Goethe-Institut Irland 'Unternehmen Deutsch' (Enterprise Germany) competition, among 214 student entrants from five Irish educational institutions! Their live marketing pitch in German for an innovation for Lidl Ireland was judged by the German, Austrian and Swiss Ambassadors to Ireland as well as by the outgoing president of the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The LIDL Ireland’s Employer Brand Specialist is taking their idea of a food-app to the company board! They were commended for their attention to practicality in devising a meal preparation package that was judged to impact impressively both on everyday life for the consumer and for logistics within the business.
