Discipline of Geography's Dr Eugene Farrell volunteered his time to teach at the "Eco-Tools-Coast: Advanced Skills in Coastal Environment" Universidad de Cádiz (Spain) International Summer School 7-12 July. This intensive, five-day programme, including a day dedicated to onsite field methods, was designed to
- provide advanced training in coastal research techniques, covering both theoretical and applied aspects;
- explore emerging topics in the field, such as remote sensing for coastal monitoring, drone data acquisition and analysis (both aerial and underwater) and numerical modeling to simulate coastal processes.
- offer hands-on experience with new methodologies, ensuring that participants acquire specialized skills applicable to their research.
