Overview

This micro-credential explores the methodological and practical issues related to undertaking both primary research and evidence synthesis reviews. The micro-credential also prepares students to develop a research protocol. The micro-credential is ideally suited for any healthcare professional who wishes to update their current understanding of research methods and methodologies and the application of evidence to their practice.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be over 21 years of age. Applicants must be a Registered Healthcare Professional.  

What you will Learn

  • Unit 1: Overview of research methods and methodologies.
  • Unit 2: Close review of quantitative and qualitative approaches.
  • Unit 3: Evidence synthesis.

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this micro-credential, you will receive credits as per the European Credit and Transfer System. These credits are recognised by the awarding institution as credits aligned to learning completed at postgraduate level 9.
