History forms an essential tool in your quest to understand the complexities of today’s world. By studying the past, you can discover events and patterns that help make sense of contemporary society, while also identifying possibilities for a better future. The study of History trains you in skills that are critical to most modern careers – rigorous analysis and clear communication. You will learn how to interpret a vast array of data, from fragments of a medieval manuscript to millions of digitised news reports, and how to communicate your findings in impactful ways.
