The University of Galway School of Law recently hosted the Ambassador of Thailand to the UK and Ireland, His Excellency Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, alongside a delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy in London, to explore strategic academic collaborations.

President of University of Galway, Professor David Burn and Dean of the School of Law, Professor Martin Hogg led the welcoming party, joined by law school staff Dr. Naporn Popattanachai, Ms. Stella Carty, and Ms. Lorna Cormican.

The delegation engaged in high-level discussions focused on establishing key educational partnerships between the University of Galway and leading Thai academic and government institutions. The dialogue highlighted shared goals in joint research, student exchange opportunities, and broader institutional cooperation.

"Hosting Ambassador Krishnamra and his delegation marks an exciting step toward deepening our ties with Thailand and enriching the global learning experience for our students and faculty,” said  Professor Martin Hogg, Dean of University of Galway School of Law.

This visit reinforces ongoing efforts to strengthen Irish-Thai diplomatic relations while expanding University of Galway’s academic presence and impact within Thailand. University of Galway School of Law will be visiting Thailand in November to further develop and secure academic partnerships across institutions in Thailand.
